Jon Gunnemann is Professor of Social Ethics, Emeritus, Emory University. He studied at Harvard (A.B. 1962), United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities (B.D. 1966), and Yale (M.A. 1969; Ph.D. 1975). Before Emory he had taught at The Pennsylvania State University (1970-76) and at Yale Divinity School (1976-81); and was Visiting Professor at Uppsala University in 1998. In addition to The Ethical Investor (1972), Yale University Press also published his The Moral Meaning of Revolution (1975). His research and many articles have been on social justice, and on religion, ethics, and economic life.
Gunnemann has been a Fellow at Doshisha University (Kyoto, Japan, 1965), the University of Cambridge (1983-4), Harvard University (1998), and the Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich (1999).
